We offer a holistic, year-long program that brings total transformation: protecting and uplifting women and girls, freeing families from poverty, and breaking cycles of oppression for generations to come.

As she receives a basic education, she learns to run a home-based business, keep her family safe, and help her children thrive.
Sister India partners with local Indian leaders and teachers to deliver year-long holistic literacy programs for women and girls.
Classes go beyond reading and writing to include:
Basic math and numeracy
Business and financial skills (savings, starting microbusinesses, bookkeeping)
Health, sanitation, and nutrition
Life skills training, including how to honor the girl child and resist harmful practices such as child marriage, child labor, and trafficking
These classes also teach the value of daughters as equal with sons, and how to stop child marriage and recognize traffickers.
Through increased incomes, families end their reliance on child labor and can resist the terrible financial pressure to traffic their own children.
